Formed in 2008 when Yawning Man's signature sound architect Gary Arce travelled to the UK to work with Kent-based instrumental riff-psych quartet Sons of Alpha Centauri. Upon the first day of working in the studio, it was clear that something special was taking place. Within the space of a week, a new band was formed, with the resulting sound like none experienced before.

In 2009, the debut album and instant cult classic 'Ceremony to the Sunset' was released to near-universal critical acclaim. Now the spacious collaboration returns with new album and Ripple Music debut 'Sky Island,' another voyage into the astral realms, and featuring guest performances from Mario Lalli (Fatso Jetson, Desert Sessions), Scott Reeder (Kyuss, The Obssesed), Wendy Rae Fowler (QOTSA, Earthlings?) and Dandy Brown (Hermano, Orquesta del Desierto).
