Geezer - Gage CD
Not your daddy's blues band, Geezer lays down thick heavy grooves rooted in the tradition of pre-war slide guitar blues, while simultaneously breaking boundaries through sonic experimentation and improvisation.
Always Heavy... Totally Righteous... Geezer
Released as a cooperative project with killer heavy label, STB Records (who released the long ago sold out vinyl), Geezer is a welcome addition to the Ripple family of riff-mad, 70's inspired psych heavy blues.
Gage has been rated one of the Best EP's of 2013 by The Obelisk and Grime at The Ripple Effect. Nuke Dog from Heavy Planet included Ancient Song as one of the Best Songs of 2013
On March 2nd, 2013, Geezer got together to record one song for a compilation from Grip Of Delusion Radio. When we walked out of the studio, we had recorded three new songs...
'Dude, It's Molecular' was recorded LIVE on September 20th, 2012 at the Rondout Music Lounge in Kingston, NY. This recording is the only time it's ever been played.
'Tales Of Murder And Unkindness' was recorded and mixed during the winter of 2014 as a bonus track for the vinyl release of the EP.
The Sludgelord raves, "Believe me folks when I say Geezer's EP is a work of genius. Stoner Rock of the highest order...", and goes on to call it, "Brilliant and Highly Recommended"
Nuclear Dog from Heavy Planet concludes, "Incredible musicianship is the hallmark of Geezer's EP, a worthy, treasured, and indelible addition to any collection."
Lucas at the Paranoid Hitsophrenic says, "Ridin' down the highway through the country, the sun spins in the sky creating a warm blanket of light. When that happens, pull over to the side of the road and press play."
JJ at The Obelisk recently recently wrote of the track 'Thorny' from the EP, "feels like / the psychedelic Americana that Scott H. Biram forgot he always wanted to make, or like Larman Clamor at its most reserved." and Gage was The Add Of The Week the The Obelisk Radio.
